Las Terrazas de Alhaurín S.A., founded in 1989, is the owner of Urbanización Alhaurín Golf. The company at the end of year 2001 account balance 9.2 million euros of  own funds. On the late eighties it took place a meticulous investment on small plots of land to reach a great area of 150 hectares, (1hectare = 2.471 acres.), where three golf courses where built, a magnificent 18 hole par 72, a 9 hole par 3 of outstanding beauty and a unique 18 hole for children, first  in Spain. There is also a golf academy, a driving range 400 meters long and 100 meters wide and chipping and putting greens, also  the club house, strategically placed between the two parts of the course with splendid views to the fairways and with the Sierra de Mijas and Nieves in the background.

On the other hand the company built a charming Hotel Resort offering spacious rooms with terraces, in order to provide the best comfort and with an array of services: reading lounges, andalusian bodega, garden and swimming pool, cafeteria and the excellent restaurant "La Ventilla", offering a carefully selected variety of local dishes and original exquisite specialities from the chef.

The hotel also has a Horse Riding Club with stables, riding school and large-top competition riding grounds, where all kinds of riding sports can be enjoyed. Cross country riding can also be practised in magnificent surroundings. In 1998 once the golf courses and the hotel where built, the company started to develop the first apartments,

followed by other developments consisting in 200 new units, apartments, detached villas, semidetached villas andalusian style, with a very high demand and practically sold over building plans. The volume of incomes generated by the real estate is over 20 millions euros at date. At this moment the project "Pueblo Andaluz" has been commercialised with great success, 131 Mediterranean style apartments surrounded by tropical gardens, cascades, swimming pools and excellent views to the golf course. The volume of sales expected on "Pueblo Andaluz" is in order to 26 million euro.
